Travel to France

For the benefit of those travelling to or through France this Easter.

Traffic delays for Eurotunnel are horrendous check on the internet but if J8-11 & other junctions on the M20 are still closed allow a fair bit of extra time for detours.

It's worth checking websites like :-

https://www.kentlive.news/news/kent-news/o...20-6932304

for an update

Fuel is freely available in France now, but some automated fuel stations are running a €150 per fill limit, and some are still running a €99 limit.

Diesel can be a little as £1.55 (€1.78) per litre if you avoid the stations on the Autyoroutes & Aires and use supermarkets and town fuel stations.

Happy Easter.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Never mind heading sauff on the M25, I pity the peeps heading t’other way, grim from Leatherhead all the way to past the M40 when we passed an hour ago. Now sat at home with a cup of coffee so officially no longer stressed re traffic. Thumbs Up

Guys, when using the ferry to get to France, is a PLF ( passenger locator form ) required to be filled in?

Cheers

If it’s same as Eurostar was 2 weeks ago, nothing was needed as long as you can show vaccinated status. Only sign of CV in France is masks on public tpt, nothing else. No vaccine cert anywhere after you go in. Thumbs Up

I'd go with whatever the ferry company say. Even if it's out of date, you still have to get past their security.

EU PLF (which is a bit of a joke as very few countries wanted it) for France is only if flying in. https://app.euplf.eu/#/ Looks like even the Italians have dropped it. Re coming back into the UK, that was dropped several weeks ago. Only thing we had to do, apart from our Eurostar boarding pass and show our Interrail pass, was show our NHS QR code. That was fine for me but the dude’s scanner didn’t like SWMBO’s code but he just looked at the dates and we were through. Thumbs Up

If Italy have dropped the Pan-european plf, IIRC that just leaves Malta recognising it. Seems countries didn't have Brexit to overrule a centralised initiative Whistle
