Permanent power @ 12V aux socket |
|
Is it possible to have power at the 12v aux socket in the boot when vehicle is stationed, switched off and locked in order to run the fridge during short stops?

I'm not sure where it's connected to , but I had a second power point run that has permanent power supplied to it , as we didn't want to mess with the cars wiring

I had My dealer put exactly what You are looking for, while the D3 was in for it's first service.
It was actually cheaper to put it straight to the battery than through the ignition.
It cost about $AU95 supply and fit. Including switch, socket, fuse and wiring. Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.

Do the whole thing & have a split charging system fitted which gives you a 2nd battery as well as a live point in the back. That way you will never run out of battery power!

Only if you run out of diesel No diesel = no battery charging. With the price of diesel this may be a possibility
