Rear wheel arch liner

Hi guys

Can someone let me know if my rear wheel arch liners are correctly fitted. Same both sides and makes sense to protect the paint but a strange fit.

Photo attached.

Thanks

No, I think the arch liner should be above the wheel arch edge.

Thanks Richard

My mistake. The edge that I photographed is a trim piece that came loose when I pushed it. The leading end fits into a real mudtrap……

The trim pieces have lost their “clamping” grip. Any point renewing them?

Yes. The trick is to buy Freelander 2 arch trim, it's the same thing but half the price! I changed mine a couple of years ago, but the new trim has started swelling too, which is disappointing.

I ran over mine too, after rebuilding the rear brakes, didn't know that was a purchasable part to be honest, I do now though, have too have a look now but I wasn't planning on replacing them, just stuffed the liner/cover thing up above the lip and went for a drive and never gave it a second thought until now Thumbs Up

I used the freelander ones to start with, then they rotted out so now use the cheap stuff from ebay.

Aaaah... In Norway these are called Volvo trimmings, coz old Volvos were packed with them. Buy the big pack as pwheeldon says, it will last long enough, and it's also good for lining other sharp edges, like holes that have wires running through them.
