Grinding from front right after disk change

Hi all, I swapped my front disks today for the larger V8 following Bodseys bible. Took it for a test drive and getting a grinding sound from front right just as the car comes to a stop, almost like the car thinks it’s starting to Sid right at the end. Is this normal for new disks? Will it go as they bed in? First time the D3 has had new disks in my ownership so not sure what to expect.

Cheers

pressing the DSC button on the dash should turn off the skid system, to prove if it is that or more mechanical

Admiral, yes, swapped out for the new bigger brackets.

Pete, good call, will try tonight / in the morning.

Whole effort went quite well actually, usually swearing at seizes bolts but all went on as they should (I think)

Went back out this morning, switched off the dcs and the noise was still the same so jacked up, wheel back off and checked every bolt and fitting, all good. Got the crow bar on everything and it was all solid / moving as it should so put the wheel back on, took it out, and still the noise at the final stop.

Wondering if it was just the pads needed an bit of breaking in so did 10 minutes of drive…stop drive…stop and low and behold, noise disappeared Smile

After a few more stop starts breaks were a dream, drove 5 mile to b&q, and I could feel the difference.
will wait before slamming them on but panic over at least Smile
