Something appears to have gone wrong and blocked my IP Addre

G'day,

I was trying to post a reply in the Webasto forum with some C code enclosed in [ c o d e ] tags. This resulted in a 403 Forbidden "you don't have permission to access this resource". Of course I took it as an intermittent error, backed out and tried again. After a couple of attempts at re-working the post, the server completely ceased responding to me (not even pings).

I gave it a couple of days, then logged on with my phone and the same thing happened in the same sequence. So my attempt at posting code seems to have triggered some form of protection on the server.

I'm currently logged in on my wifes phone to post this plea for assistance. Can I find out :
A) what actually happened;
B) how to rectify it; and
C) how to make sure I don't do it again?

Hi Brad,

Unfortunately you've (A) tripped the site's security filters.

(B) From your home and phone connections, could you go to

https://www.whatismyip.com/

And then easiest thing is to email me martin@disco3.co.uk - I'll clear the firewall blocks.

(C) For future code pasting, use something like https://gist.github.com/ Thumbs Up

Have you been logging into BA in Londo as well?
 A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
