They didn't take anything this time, there was nothing to take. They broke in on the 'promise' of a mobile phone because there was a mounting point for one attached to the dash.
Building security got a good look at the culprit as he legged it past the doors. They'll be watching for this one in future. Good work fellas
If these are going to break in because of the display of a phone mounting on the dash... I'm thinking that I might mount my replacement ipod connector in the lid of the centre coolbox cubby area, in place of the (fairly pointless) phone connector. I've seen it done somewhere...

It doesn't look like Graeme is a frequent visitor here... So, has anyone else instialled their ipod this way?

I'm guessing that using it this way means that you can flip over the rubber insert for the top of the box, clip it into the cubby box lid, and then no one will see the ipod, even if you open the lid?2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

My sister leaves her car in a secure car park at her place of work. Last summer two cars got broken into becuase the scrotes had seen the circular marks that the satnav mounts leave on the windscreens.Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

Who will be looking? Once the crime number is issued that will be the end of any "investigation".
I'll give you an example as to why:
Between Pencoed and Bridgend, over the bank holiday weekend, we had a bit of an 'operation':
3 Lexus 4x4 Police vehicles
1 x Mitsibushi Evo 8 Police car (unmarked in black)
1 x Vauxhall Vectra unmarked in red
The Tax Disc Van in the layby
The 2 spot check traps on the bypass
The 8 police response vehicles parked on the Industrial Estate
They were pulling in every car just to check it over.
Who had sympathy for the poor pay rise offered to the Police? I for one certainly did not.
Not the fault of the rank and file. It's those at the top who decide if and when this kind of operation takes place.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Yes, we get operations just like this here; just recently all exit roads from Romford were 'contained' by police vehicles together with the relevent people from DVLA, Drug squad, Customs etc etc. It's an easy op to mount, they don't have to do any 'police work' ie chasing or looking for perps just wait for them to enter the trap as it was... Looks good in the press - big police prescence on the streets blah blah blah but not what I call 'proper' policing.

Hello crims ...if you can't see it on the dash ...look here
DG - not sure I'm understanding you here - but are you suggesting I remove my post so as not to draw attention to the alternative places my ipod might be hidden? If so I can sort of see your point, but wonder if you've gone a bit far into paranoia?

Sorry Rob ...my ironic mind working OT again I'm just highlighting that if they can't see it on the dash then they may now be drawn to the center cubby automatically. But as you say I'm a bit anal at times 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
