D4 Electric Drivers Seat Wiring - Help
So then... I have a D3 and I have installed a lovely D4 leather interior including electric seats. The Passenger seat works fine (once the live and earth wires were swapped around).
For the drivers seat, (it is a heated/memory seat), I purchased the same passenger seat wiring loom (the same as is fitted to the passenger seat I installed - AH22-14A699-AGA) and swapped the loom over. I also replaced the memory switch pack with a non-memory one from a LHD passenger seat (8 way). I have power to the seat and it moves backwards and forwards and the seat base tilts up and down but I haven't managed to get the seat back recline to function.
There are two cables coming from the seat with connectors that I do not have corresponding fittings on my new loom. Can anyone tell me what these connectors are and perhaps a solution to my reclining issue?
Both these cables seem to dissappear into the back of the seat? Someone may correct me on that... I didn't want to pull on them!
I still have the original memory loom so can use that for parts if required? Any help you can provide will be really appreciated!!

Are the seats you have fitted memory or none memory as there are extra plugs for memory module, I have put electric seats in my D4 and then updated to memory seat had to purchase memory switch pack but the rest was plug and play and update ecu to memory option and seat option, but a quick search on here should give you what’s needed to do

Hi Stephen. The drivers seat is memory. I have retained the memory wiring loom and the switch pack from when I got the seat. I did try and fit it with these attached but it didn't work. I changed the CCF to read memory seats but that had no effect either.
The furthest I've hot is with the passenger loom on the drivers seat and the LHD switch pack (both from a D4)
Incidentally, I should have mentioned that my car only came with basic manual seats. My vehicle is a D3.

At a guess you will have
2 thick wires for motor
2 wires for heated seat
3 thin wires for motor position (memory)
Hopefully no airbag wires. (Usually yellow covered )
Maybe 2 wires for lumbar
Looking at the passenger seat or a wiring diagram may help with these answers

Mine came with manual seats but D3 to D4 requires a wiring mod if you go to the search menu I believe this is all covered, as for memory you require the memory switches in door and maybe the harness if not the same

Thanks for the advice both of you.
I've removed the memory function from the seat as I don't have memory mirrors etc to go with them. The door card has also got a non memory handle. This is why I went for a passenger loom and non memory LHD switch pack pack. I'm not fussed about rewiring the car just to get memory. I just need to figure out the recline function.
I think I'm going to take the green connector plug from the memory loom and work out a way of connecting it into the non memory switch pack connector. I've worked the wires out now, it's just a case of time and to see if it's possible. Nothing ventured and all that...

Hiya
Don’t know if this is much help as I’ve also got a base model and went from manual to non heated D3 electric seats
Removed the memory module and also removed all the wires from the seat , apart from the seats air bags
Worked out what connectors I needed for each function then made up an entirely new loom
My drivers seat was 8 x way and passenger 6 x way , as a side the large black connector block that sits at the front of the seat u can’t fit the connectors into the wrong ones as there all keyed
Hopefully that might be a little help to u

Thanks for the reply gstuart. That's given me some confidence to start on the looms. I'll take some photos once I'm done. I'm.going to give it a go tomorrow 👍😁

Ur so welcome
Indeed I found it a lot simpler laying out the connectors I needed then just altering the loom to suit
