Transmission Fault P2743 high fluid temp |
|
Day 2 of ownership and 2nd question about restricted performance. Thanks in advance for any assistance….
Two codes of concern now, one P006A00 which I’m clear about potential causes but the other I’m a little more concerned about.
From rear diff control module - P2743-00 transmission fluid temp sensor b - circuit high input. It’s showing permanent status on my obdii reader (not sure if that’s significant or not)… I looked at the live data and it showed temp above 200 degrees. The other P0702-64.
The car is under warranty so I’m expecting them to be sorted. Can any of the experts among you tell me what I should expect them to be doing to resolve the issues? Or do I throw the keys back and get my money back?
Many thanks. Mark

My response is not meant to be just flippant. Right now LR are doing everything to make and sell new cars to get their financials right and they are doing nothing else. In practice this means garages are part of this equation so even if you have a fundamentally good car, getting service appointments or spares is going to a challenge for the next few quarters or more. So, if it does break, you may be in trouble. If you can get out, do so

For what its worth ,I think the sensor needs replacing as it looks like it has gone open circuit as 200 degree is improbable without a cook up.

Well if you read 200 deg first thing in the morning. Sensor fault.
And if sensor 1 gives reasonable value, it backs that up.

Thanks all for the replies. Should get the car back this week so I'll see what has been done.
After years of trouble free driving in Audi's and BMW's I'm strangely looking forward to getting a bit more 'involved' 😀 Mark

Latest update. Just been underneath and the loom to the temp switch has come into contact with the drive shaft and worn through the red core. Soldering iron out when I’ve got a few other bits together. Mark
