BMS hardware

Is the BMS connector on the negative of positive pole of the battery? I saw a photo saying it was on the negative but my manual implies it is the positive. I know this is a stupid question but...
Also, if it want to check it and the fused harness, how do I do it and does anyone have a photo as a guide?
thanks

Here btw is a guide published in the US pointing to a potential fault on this system and showing this connected to the positive. Not sure if it has been published in Europe
