What is up with those brake lights?!

Saw my first D5, a black HSE heading east bound on the M4 stuck in traffic with me about 06:30.

What's with having a large fancy light cluster only to have those poxy small brake lights? Have they copied the method from a 90s shogun?!

Nice and bright though, just very small for the size of the car.[/i]

It has quite a large centre brake light though.

From all the photos I have seen I really didn’t like the D5, but had one as a loaner today while my D3 was having 4 injectors replaced (ouch!), have to say I was really impressed with it, one amazing car!

Still won’t buy one though as am swapping my M3 for a Velar and keeping the D3 as more practical for fishing/shooting.

Nice to see that they've improved the brake light now. Still has the high intensity tiny lamp, but at least the the whole bar lights now.

I’ve had my D5 for over 3 years now and it’s done pretty much everything my D4 did, it most cases better and more comfortable, and I am ok with the rounded rear and the offset rear plate, but I do feel LR could have done much better in the styling, as it looks like the design team got to the back and said “ Censored it, that’ll do”, as from the front and sides it’s great. Thumbs Up

Clearly you don't need to get out more if you can recognise a random m/way junction by a traffic light and the corner of a grey building.

Maybe you should apply to become a super recogniser and work for MI5 Rolling with laughter
