smart key battery low

Even using new batteries with a reading of 3.3 volts, I still have the warning message. It has been said that if you open and shut the car with the manual key this will clear the message. True? I don't feel like trying this since everything I try seems to make something else worse..

Also make sure you're using a branded battery such as Duracell.
I've found in the past I've had the Battery Low message with a new battery and changed to Duracell and the message went away. Coincidence maybe!!!

scond markate I had both keys batteries die on me few months back only after week or two of operation

now no issues with good ol duracell

I can't find Duracell anywhere so will order some but today one of the keys was dead and a new battery in the other did not clear the warning and nor did any of the lock/unlock etc tricks. Then suddenly it cleared!
Also had 'smart key not found'.
How did LR make something so complicated?
