My lovely blue D3 failed its inspection with “play in inner track rods” (translated). Besides getting new inner track rods for both sides is there anything else I’d want to change at the same time? I do know it need an alignment after.
Are there differences in track rods? Meyle-HD? Something else?
Appreciate any input and thoughts

Probably would do the anti roll bar links at the same time.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you mean the front stabilizer links? [1]
I did them about 3 years ago and used Meyle HD then. Visually they look fine and there are no funky noises.

If you've already changed them then they will be fine.

Yes, the outers would make sense to do at the same time.

(Nothing against island 4x4, advanced factors ships using Incoterms DAP so it is very handy as customs/levies are pre-paid at shipping time and packages clear customs immediately).

Just quoted Island as they have the G at the end of the part number which I always like if not to expensive

Valid point.
I assumed you would do both. I did

Found this tool useful when I did mine. Makes it reassuringly easy to undo and tighten. Slides over the rod end with the outer ball joint not fitted.
