Metering pump Interrupted |

Hi Folks,
Having managed to fail to get to the issue all summer I've finally been pushed I to looking at the FBH,
Fault originally was the unit starting then self cutting g as it could not detect a flame. I stripped the unit as per Robbies excellent guide and discovered that the ceramic was cracked.
I decided to get a new unit, and got a guaranteed good unit from eBay.
I've fitted this and it doesn't even start, the fault reported is as per the title. Searching the forums suggests that this is likely to be a stuck pump or wiring issue, but it worked for the old unit, so I am wondering whether something internal to the pump could cause this as I am obviously somewhat suspicious of the replacement unit.
Grateful for any advice

Are you sure the new one was off a D3 and not a D4, try swapping over the circuit board off the old and see if that makes it fire up.

I haven't had a chance to look at this further yet, but I started up the truck to move it, and the FBH fired up! Very smoky, but it ran, and seemed to stay running.
Will investigate further later....

Very smokey, is a polluted heater… they are getting polluted when they run shorter than 10 minute’s.
So when “moving” the motor or go for a quick short run… Let it always run 10 minutes before stopping the engine…. Always do this when it is colder than 7 deg celcius.. Best regards

Heater continues to function, no longer smokey.
Seems running the engine did something to prime the lines or otherwise resolve the fault, and then a couple of longer runs have cleaned up the heater.
Thanks all for the advice.
