Castrol Edge Magnatec C1. |
|
Hi All, just bought a 2008 D3 2.7 commercial as my daily hack. I also have a FFRR 3.6 TDV8.
Question regarding oil as I have a couple of 20L containers of Castrol EDGE Professional C1 5w-30 ACEA C1 Jaguar Land Rover STJLR.03.5005 20L
Is this also the best oil for the 2.7 TDV6 or does it need something different (C3?)
Thanks.
Chris.

C1 is certainly the correct grade for the 3.0 SDV6 with the low saps. Although no expert can’t see it being too bad for the 2.7 😉 RLD CB Bracket
RLD Spare Wheel Protector
RLD Sump Protector
ProSpeed Compressor Cover
TPMS Retrofit

The 'C' number refers to the SAPS value of the oil. C1 is the lowest ash content and the best for cars fitted with a DPF to prolong it's life/performance.
Castrol Edge PRO 5w30 C1 is all we use for the TDV6 and TDV8 engines, with or without a DPF Joe
