Why don't you contact one of the site sponsors listed above?
The parts ones are very helpful and I am sure can get you what you need quickly.

Unable to find the individual parts I require on eBay, various kits to “refurb” the bar, which basically consist of the lock, I need the main locking bar and the small internal spring

Hi Ian,
I have the same problem. Just took the tow bar apart. Small internal spring broken that retracts the worm drive. If you find a source for this it'd be great to let me know. Will do the same if I come across something.
Cheers and happy new year,
Ralph

Just realised I resurrected a thread from the grave
But seriously...if anybody knows where I could find that said spring I would be very grateful. Internet search so far was without results.....
This is the spring in the picture
