Engine System Fault Info Message - No Warning Lights? |
|
Hello again you clever tech people!
So recently, after driving (usually at a steady 70-80 like on a motorway) for about 40mins, I get the little ‘I’ appear on the dash and when I step through the pages pressing the button at the end of the stick, the last page says ‘Engine System Fault’ However, I have NO warning lights at all.
The vehicle is running very well, very smooth, plenty of poke etc AND it doesn’t happen all the time which is the annoying bit and I can sometimes go days without it happening so it’s not consistent.
The EGRs have been physically blanked but not mapped out if that has anything to do with it but they were done before I acquired the vehicle.
Other than that, my local indie has done some mechanical work but not for a while
Should I be worried? Mick

Thank you @G7rtk
Is that a big job or relatively straightforward?
Is it something I could do myself - bearing in mind I have very limited technical know how 😂😂 Mick

Just lubricant it. Have a look on here and YouTube. I’m sure there is a how to vide. There is also instructions on here somewhere to make the coat hanger too to work it back and forth.

Get codes read before you spend time doing any work.
