D4 with 25 mm spacers and 255/55 r20

Did anyone try this combo?

I just fitted 25 mm spacers on my MY16 D4 with 255/50 r20. Works well but wouldn't mind stepping upp a size in diameter on the wheel, thus the 255/55 r20.

Don't know if this is really a fact but the car feels slightly lower with the spacers than it did before.

Would be great to hear any experiences before I order the larger tyres as my winter tyres.

My D3 with landmark alloys on has 255 55 R20 on with no spacers fitted and causes me no issues
Thumbs Up

A D4 with 255/55R20 GG AT3’s on the std LR alloys with 30mm spacers need the chassis horns behind the front wheels cut off and there’s also slight rubbing of the plastics in front of the front wheel.

265/50R20 with 9.5 wide wheels and 45 ETA offset is the best combo I've found Thumbs Up

That does look great! Do you know what size spacer your wheel size and ETA would be equal to?

I’m not sure, but if you play around on here and compare various wheel sizes, tire sizes, and offsets it may be helpful. https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Sometimes my memory is not what it should be. I finally came around to replace my winter tyres but forgot about this conversation.

I can now confirm that 255/55R20 is rubbing against the chassis horns. 😂 But it looks great!

My mechanic wants to modify the horns but I’m thinking maybe move to 275/50R20 or 265/50R20 as JJVD1 suggests.
