towing electrics question, |
|
hi all, i am looking at fitting the genuine land rover towing electrics kit to my D3 but i have been told that even if i fit it, it will still need to be activated by the good old dealer. this sounds a little far fetched to me but has anyone else fitted the kit and had any problems or is it a simple diy fit as i would of thought.
many thanks, jim

Jim, they will work. Dealer activation simply stops the auto height adjust when selecting Terrain response in Low Ratio - if you are towing. Errr, may also enable the fog light, can't remember.
In short, fit them, they work. But height will still adjust in TR modes. "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

I think it also stops the rear PDC from coming on when connected.
