Reflashing ECM and TCM with GAP IID - Risky or safe

I have a 2007 D3 that is remapped (a long time ago in the UK), EGRs blanked, DPF removed in software, Hysteresis in gearbox adjusted before I bought it.
- And some communication's issue / fault with EGRs that triggered fault in gearbox fixed in software by a independent car software expert, previous owners explanation.

Land Rover recommends to reset the software back to original to see if it is the remap or some of the other fixes causing issues, or if they are hiding some other fault codes.

Should I reflash the ECM and the TCM myself with the GAP IID tool or is this too risky?

The gap tool makes a backup of the PCM anyway, just make a backup, then just flash it and if thats not the cause then restore your backup.

Flack Thumbs Up
