Turbo
Hi looking for some advice can the turbos on a 2012 discovery be refurbed as having conflicting answer some saying can’t be done other saying no problem to be refurbed . Thought I’d ask on here to get a honest answer

Dear Paul,
as you know I still have problems with my 3.0 l TDV6 renovated by Oval.
Drinking a lot of oil that gathers into the intercooler tube. Latest measurement is 1 litre for 3350 kms.
Have changed the turbo that was renovated by Oval with another from Oval. Still the same oil consumption. Advice says that crankcase ventilation is faulty, but do not know how to find out.
Joe at Oval says send the engine back. Easy to say but needs a lot of work and transport adding up to at least € 3000. Faulty engine from Oval. I believe the work and transport should be covered by Oval.
Anyway more disasters have happened. The best Landrover mechanic in Sweden, who took care of my Landrovers has lost his complete workshop in a fire.
So. Wonder if refurbished turbos really work?
