[For Sale] 2006 D3 TDV6 S AUTO (Cheaper tax rate)
Now that I have bought a D4, I am selling my trusty D3 that has served my family well for the last 7 years. It hasn't had to work that hard with an average of around 4K miles per year over our time with it and we have never towed with it either.
Interior is in great condition and, for an S model is has some "from factory" upgrades (AFAIK not standard). These include not just leather seats but two tone leather seats! (see pics below), Harmon Kardon stereo and speakers, rear parking sensors. Everything works including radio, air con, heated front and rear seats, etc. The steering wheel buttons have become temperamental but I believe that can be easily fixed with a replacement clock spring (just never got around to it). The car came with an antiquated media player in the roof which I have swapped out for a much thinner modern affair with a much bigger screen (plays from SD cards) which has saved us from the kids fighting on the longer trips out.
Externally there are a couple of small dents in the n/s passenger door and some scratches but nothing I would call major for a car of this age. Tyres on the car have fronts: 5.18mm, 5.24mm and rears 5.5mm, 5.46mm
The car has a partial service history and a load of paperwork that I have built for all work done during my tenure. It has had all the usual major work done and a bunch of others jobs including:
2014 - New front and rear brake discs and pads
2014 - New AC condenser radiator
2015 - New air suspension compressor
2017 - New lower tensioner & belt, and EGR blank (fitted by Geoff)
2017 - New battery 019 LIFETIME Yuasa
2017 - New Cam belt, Fuel belt, Water pump, Oil pump & Crank seal (fitted by Geoff)
2017 - Trans flush (by Geoff)
2018 - New front lower arms, rear upper arms (fitted by Geoff)
2018 - Replaced centre diff oil
2018 - New steering rack tie rods and track rod ends
2018 - Four wheel alignment after the above two
2018 - New air suspension reservoir tank, front crossover valve and reservoir valve
2018 - New brake pads and sensors
2019 - New front parking sensors and harness (but never got them working)
2019 - New copper rear brake pipes and left and right rear brake hoses
2019 - New boots - Michelin 255/60 R18 112V CrossClimate SUV XL All Season
2021 - New AMK air suspension compressor
2021 - New o/s passenger door lock actuator
Current Mileage: 123,623
MOT due: 30/11/2021
Only issues on the last MOT where headlamp bulb needed replacing (I swear I checked it the day before!), advisory on suspension fault which is fixed with a spanking new AMK compressor fitted and a bonnet open message from a faulty sensor.
Vehicle Tax: £340 (This is the half rate because the car is registered less than 3 weeks before the new rates came in!)
Additional Wheels
I also have a set of four R20 VPLAW0003 HSE alloys that I took off my D4 (replaced with Landmarks) which I will throw in with the deal. Some have kerb damage (see pics). If you aren't interested in those, I can sell them separately.
One small caveat which would be dishonest not to mention, I had a leak in the top centre of the front windscreen a few years back which I filled with sealant. I haven't had any water in since through many storms etc but I keep a towel over the radio etc just in case. Resolved with a screen refit or replace but I haven't bothered as it stopped leaking.
I'm looking for a quick sale to free up the drive (and also because my vehicle tax is due soon and their pro-rata refunds are crap)
All in I'm looking for £4,500 ONO

And how it might look with them on (sorry, couldn't get them to stop rolling or falling so looks a bit like a clown car )

I think they were made by Rosen. Personally I'd get two cheap android pads and put them on the back of the headrests or free standing. Each cherub then gets what they want to watch or play.D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

@Bubblehead I don't have the destructions any more but based on a mailing list I am now on I think it was something from XTRONS. They have all sorts of models. It has been great and I couldn't knock it at all. Nice and thin when closed and a good sized screen for the kids. I didn't wire the whole thing. Just used the wiring already in place for the older system that was present when I bought it used.
Having said that, my boys are 5 years apart a frequently want to watch different things so there has always needed to be some compromise. Now I have the D4 HSE, there isn't any room for an overhead screen anyway. So I have opted for exactly what @Moo suggested. I got a couple of headrest tablet holders. This will work out better not just because they can watch what they want, but they can also have bluetooth controllers and headphones and play games etc too.
