Rear Seat Removal
Been searching around the forum for info on removing 3rd row seats.
99% of the time we have a TransK9 drawer and dog cage in the back so they're never used.
Was thinking of removing the seats and replacing with the 5 seat boot trim: -
LR021310 - Front Cover
LR015181 - Support Bracket Assembly - Side Trim Panel - 5 Seat Only - LH
LR015182 - Support Bracket Assembly - Side Trim Panel - 5 Seat Only - RH
LR021442 - Cover Board Rear
The brackets aren't too pricey brand new and the Front Cover can be obtained off fleaBay for £25ish. (often advertised as Range Rover Sport rear covers). However the rear covers are like hens teeth and around £300 to buy new.
Was wondering if I could make something from plywood or similar and then carpet it to match.
Anyone advise of the construction of the rear board in a 5 seat Disco please? Is it just a plain board or is it shaped in a special way, have fittings on it etc?
Cheers,

Someone on here was selling a 5 seat boot carpet if I recall ... buy it and use as template then cover for plywood?.

I agree
Not removing to sell them.
The seats will be stored until I come to sell the vehicle when I'll refit them. It's just a weight saving exercise.
Did the same with my Defender 90.Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

I never intended to get a drawer, it's just that one came up with the cage in an eBay auction at the right price.
Glad I did though. It's a well made piece of kit and you can take it in and out easily as it uses the tie downs in the boot area. So useful for keeping the Disklok in plus some tools and a bit of light recovery kit.Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green
