Inlet manifold - can’t get the leak off pipe clips off

Hi there. Driver’s side manifold cracked. Made a nice little DIY leak tester with a bike pump and an old valve. Have started to take bits apart to remove the manifold and I’m a little stuck trying to remove the clips on the leak off valve pipe. Don’t fancy damaging them as I know a transit one is about £250 so I can only imagine how much an LR one is.

Any tips or advice would be really appreciated.

I just did this job myself, and found a few that were difficult to get off. I found a very small flat screwdriver and carefully pried it under the white cap to wiggle it loose.

Yes, so to clarify for anyone else attempting this. You need to push down on the black plastic part and pull up on the white plastic part. The white plastic part will lift by about 10mm and then the entire connector body will lift straight up. Bit stiff if caked in grime.

The rest of the manifold job is an exercise of cursing at LR making it out of plastic and coming to the realisation that yes that bit needs to come off too, and that bit. Two fuel pipes run along the back of the manifold which are a complete PITA and I ended up removing them too. Took a day and a half to get the job done.

You’ll need new copper washers for the injectors. I replaced the o-rings on the throttle body and the leak off valves connectors. LD recommended replacing the oil separator pipe too.
