What width tyres are people using.

I have had the duratracs on my D5. Great tire BUT go carefully... Goodyear claimed on their website that these tired have the 3PMSF symbol but they don't.
I contacted Goodyear and they have now removed if from their EU page, but the photo still shows the 3PMSF symbol.
So... If you are buying them for Winter tyres, they are probably NOT what you are looking for.
If you are looking for a good off-road tire, you will not be disappointed!!

That’s because as A US company they’re using pics of US stock which have 3PMSF.
They won’t supply to Europe as “No mandatory requirement for symbol marked tyres” despite there being mandatory requirements in a number of countries. 🤷♂️ Paul.

I have used them for many years…great for mud and fresh snow but shockingly bad for compacted snow and ice…. But that’s not what they are designed for….

I have 255/55/20’s..on 20” LR split spokes.
The slightest rub on full lock on a D4.
Rides nicer (not as harsh as the 50 series) and slightly noisier than the very much road tyres they replaced.
Got a deal in Black Circles 2013 Baltic Blue D4 - a balance between family car and camping machine - trying to not bladder it with stuff I dont need!
2008 FLR2 - bit travelled and surprisingly good - exchanged for above
1967 S2a SWB - the old girl - current, original and much loved
1998 - Td5 overlander - much travelled and very much missed
1996 - 300Tdi 110 overlander - much travelled and much missed
1998 - FLR 1 td4 - my first Civvy Land Rover!

I’ve just ordered a set of 255/55/19 from tyresonthedrive.
There is a 20% discount if anyone has a bluelight card until The end of Feb. Cost me £457 including fitting, balancing, disposal etc.

I put some Avon AX7 on my last D4. Thought they were fantastic and better than the Duratracs I'd previously run.  New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

Better in what ways? I’m thinking of switching back to Duratracs - I liked them more than the Grabber AT3s I’m running now.

Wet weather, durability, sidewall strength, price and just general confidence on the road.
I've had Mickey Thomson AT, GGAT, Duratracs, Pirreli and AT2 on my D3 and D4. Thought the AX7 were the best but its personal choice. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

fully agree only downside no snowflake on sidewall so not as practical in crossing various countries with winter condition regs

new Duratracks do carry 3 peaks with snowflake at present. they only do not have ice grip sign for proper winter boots 
and yes most recommended boots ever both set I had gave at least 45K milleage and good price at 120 a piece on camskill
