Here we go, wallet emptying time 😱
I’ve made a few posts already but relatively new to the forum. So gone from D2 I did up for green landing too my very recent purchase, 2005 D3 2.7 SE 141,000 Full main dealer history to 123,000 and then indie. In need of some Landrover nut TLC 😁.
The plan is to spend the next 5 months turning it into an Overland Disco. Firstly I would like to thank Bodsy for his advise and recommendations especially R&G Autocare LR specialists near me.
So far done,
Front Lower arms
Front drop links
Front ARB bushes
Alignment
Terrafirma EGR blanking kit
Engine oil and filter changed, will run for 500 miles and then change again just to give it a flush
Front and rear diff oils changed. Cut the front diff breather and rerouted as it was blocked
Transfer box oil changed, came out clean but did it just for piece of mind
Rhino seat covers and boot liner.
Bought rear drop links and rear ARB bushes, this weekends job. Plus, yes, it does need rear upper arms so will get round to it.
Booked into R&G Autocare for full transmission flush, timing belt and updated oil pump.
I will update as work is done with images so all can see the transformation over the coming months.

What? And miss all the fun of wet carpets, scraped knuckles and hours spent inside a wheel arch! Call yourself a Land Rover guy
The new motor looks great, looking forward to seeing the project progress... any destination in mind?I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

I know, it must be the amount of Gorilla tape/silicon sealant I used to buy to seal up the D2’s sunroofs😂 in terms of destinations my folks live up in North Wales so will be spending winter weekends up and around Snowdonia. Plus a few trips to Scotland in the snow hopefully 👍👍

Update, all booked in for rear upper arms, ARB bushes and drop links. Next looking at refurbish the 18in alloys and then some new rubber, preferably some decent A/T’s. Next been looking at snorkels and full length roof rack with a couple of spotlights, recommendations welcome please.
