EGR blank off Management Light

2007 D3 .
I've just had the EGR blanked off. Straight away I noticed a smother acceleration. But after about 50 mile the Engine Management light came on. I took it back to the garage and the fitter plugged in the magic box and cancelled it. How ever my next journey was a fast run. I was just getting it to sit at 75mph when multiple faults came up. Transmission Fault, suspension fault, Coolant level. The suspension lowered and there was no response on the accelerator. I limped back to the garage and switched it off. It was off for about 10 minutes. We started it and all lights cleared and no warnings. There were no faults on the computer.
Is this part of the clearing the EGR fault light or a separate problem that is developing.
Any idea
Cheers
Kevin

You need to get an EGR patch installed in your ECU. The other faults are most likely caused by the EGR fault.

Also you might want to check that the two EGR sensors are unplugged from their sockets. I had the same trouble after blanking, but all it took to fix it was unplugging the sensors.

Surely you leave them plugged in? As unplugging them will definitely bring a permanent light on?

Patch for the software, leave the EGRs plugged in.

If you have had the software patch to remove the EGRs, the sensors may cause trouble if still plugged in, that’s all I am saying. Not necessarily, but it certainly happened to me. So it’s worth trying to unplug them if you are having trouble after disabling the EGRs.
