300 mile journey and stopped 18 times to reset HDC Lowering! |
|
This has to be some sort of record however it does have a happy ending. So new front lower control arms, bushes and drop links plus alignment. Last weekend started a 300 mile journey to North Wales from Sussex. All good until on the M25 then "Bong" HDC Lowering suspension So stopped Cobhan services, ignition off and then on, fault clears. So off again all happy then 20 miles further "Bong" So this happened all the way and the language was fruity ! Anyway the good chaps at Taylors 4x4, tattenhall, Cheshire were amazing, they fitted me in on a Hot sat afternoon hooked the Disco up and they asked me if Id had the steering position censor re-calibrated after front lower work and alignment, NO!!! well theres your problem, they re-calibrated double checked, clear code and voila 300 miles back home on Sunday evening and she didn't miss a beat. Moral re-calibrate when a spanner goes near your Disco

I had exactly the same things! Steering Angle reset with IID and problem solved... wish I'd known sooner.

I had the same on way to Zurich and it drove me mad plus I had to drive back stop start. Turned out to be a leak in an airbag. New one fitted all good but a pain to find the cause. I think I broke your record 18 stops by a significant amount!
