At last, the gap tool had arrived. Now lets figure out how to work with the tool. Just managed to get the drl working, scandanavian style. Few things to go, just the 3 times blink blinker doensnt blink 3 times...bummer. try again next time.
Read and cleared codes, and reset service.

You need to update the BCM for the 3 flash to work.

Progress....
3 times blinker blinks 3 times👍
Cornering light light up
Phone connects straigjt away
Clock where it should be.
Now the bad part. As mentioned in the guide the coola t warning comes on. Is this truly a bad float, or a hickup in the software?
If its really the float, then i order one, if not i have to flash another file... obey gravity.....it's the law

Try to undo the one you have first and then you know..
You can try if you are lucky a fresh one will seal ok…. If not and you find out it does not fit proper when underway when it is very hot… the engine can be f***d , it wasn’t worth it for me, bearing the price of a new bottle in mind and spending 5k on the rebuild and transplant of an engine…
Sensor costs money, new bottle also, but the bottle includes a sensor… difference is marginal…
If i needed to save a few quid , i should not have bought a LR in the first place… but really, a bottle of the right brand is not very expensive… Best regards

Ok, that makes sense. Dont want to risk an overheated engine, or coolant leak. I know krom previous cars that the sensor is changed easily, but not on the land rovers, as usual haha.

The float is built into the bottle and can’t be changed.
It’s usually the float !

You can buy the sensor separately but not the float as far as i know..
https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/sensor-level-...34173.html
But..
I bought this one incl the sensor..
https://www.britcar.co.uk/product.php/5421...over_sport
For the reasons mentioned above…
Difference is about 50 quid.. Best regards
Harold
