Hello
I have 2008 disco 3. Engine was toasted so i swapped 2.7tdv6 from my spare parts car, which is 2005. Spare part car worked well, no problems with engine. But now when it is in new chassy it wont start, or sometimes it may even start and run few secs but then it dies and wont start again.
Only fault codes are from egr (which i did delete, and yes i know i have to tune it, but it should start right?) and from fuel pressure sensor P0191-23.
When i checked live data fuel pressure sensor seems to read as it should. Normally when i crank it shows about 630kpa and pressure relief valve read out is between 85-100%. But when it fires or even tries to start, fuel pressure sensor read out is 1600-4000kpa.
There is also small difference since new engine is older. High pressure pump and fp sensor location is different.
Can someone help me?

Did you swap over the Hpfp and injectors? The 2005 engine is euro3 and the original 2008 engine is euro4 the 2005 injection system will not be compatible the 2008 ecu. Andrew

What aja4x4 has said above, but also did you do the fuel lift pump reset with you're diagnostic tool ?.

I didnt change hpfp nor injectors. But i disconnected fuel pressure regulator connector and it runs and works now...
