| Transmission Fault - won't go away until I'm on flat ground |

Ok a quick story for context:
Three times now, when in off-road mode, I get about 20 minutes into a climb and I get a transmission fault, traction reduced. No other lights or faults besides that one, however. I noticed the other day as I then struggled to get up an obstacle that should have been relatively easy that my rear locker wasn't engaged anymore.
I then turned the vehicle off and on to see if that would reset things but then I got a whole list of lights and codes (HDC, special programs off, etc) and the suspension went to access height. This exact scenario happened the next time I was out as well. HOWEVER, if I then find some flat ground and turn the vehicle off and on, it is all back to normal. The fact that I'm on a hill seems to matter! I don't understand why...
Lastly, it seems to drive fine otherwise and for the remainder of the outings I just left it in normal mode at off-road height and in low range and it didn't have any faults or anything.
Here are some codes (new to old, some may be irrelevant):
P0122(87) - Throttle position sensor A
P186D(00) - Clutch actuator stuck
U0424(69) - AC control module issue
U0132(87) - Lost communication with ride level control module
C1A01(96) - LED circuit (??)
C1A30(64) - ?
C1A03(92) - Front left height sensor
My best theory is that the read diff lock motor is bad (or something with it isn't functioning) and so it throws the fault when it gets stuck. I just don't understand why it will then lose its mind when I turn off then on unless I'm on flat ground. Fluid level issues? I've topped off the transmission fluid recently and the differential fluid was changed within the past year or two. No leaks.
