Pics request R18 and R19 rims on a D3
Hi Guys,
I have now 255/55 R19 with chinese sh....t but thinking off 255/60R18 ( Scorpion AT plus it will be most likely)
Can anyone show me some pics of both.
Other question if you go off road / greenlaning do you airdown the R19 or what i have seen in video's pump them up/

18” rims on a D4.
I never changed the psi when off-roading. I would have done on sand, but I’ve never driven on soft sand for any distance.
The most extreme off-roading I’ve done was on 19” rims, no issues at all, but 18”s inspire more confidence and they give a more comfortable ride on road.

Here are some for you. 255/55R19, AT+. Not exactly sure what greenlaning means in European terms but I haven’t lowered the pressure yet while driving “off-road”. I’ve mostly done trails in the woods, not gone completely off the road.

Air down gives bigger footprint…. You can wait until you get stuck in deep mud and then air down, or do it as a precaution 8). But keep in mind you have to pump them up onroad again, otherwise they get too hot…. I have a compressor on board…
Airdown is for everysize, has nothing to do with size… but…. The higher the wall of the tyre, the bigger the effect will be… how lower the wall of the tyre, the more risk you have to damage the rim and tyre..
Greenlaning in the Netherlands is never rocky…. We do not have rocks here, beaches or mud though is more common… on these places winching can be more difficult….. so airing down as a precaution can make sence….. i know when i do it…. And i drive 18” and Pirelli Scorpion A/T Plus 265/65 R18 114 T
