[For Sale] D3 with D4.5 conversion java black-spares\repairs
Owned this for just short of 4 years, engine seized last week and I'm gutted.
Had lots of work done, front bearings, brakes all round with the V8 front set up, new brake lines and epb fully serviced in January 21 and probably loads of other things I can't just remember
Got a halfords battery fitted with lifetime guarantee
Full D4 leather interior and door cards, D4 steering wheel
Fully facelifted front end and wing mirrors, obviously has some age related marks but nothing major
Don't know how to price but after looking around £4.5 k sounds like a good starting point
Mot till end of January 22 and now on 160000 miles

160 - 170k seems the sweet spot (all irony intended) for these engines to die, mine went at 168k.
Looks lots of nice parts on that car, you know what I’m going to suggest.

Yupp, and i think oil supply is the reason…
I had two engine’s apart… one with 68K mls and one with exactly the double amount… (both still running engines) and i saw this on the main bearings…

It is easy to predict what happens with a few extra mls…Best regards
Harold

Also forgot to mention, brand new windscreen fitted last week, and also had new centre propshaft last year.got around 60 quid worth of diesel in the tank also.
If I'm way off on price then please let me know.
We are moving in 7 days and don't really want to have to put it on the new drive to just sit there

I hate to be the one to say it, but I think your price may be a little optimistic
It's worth more in parts, if you have the time and space to strip, but £4.5k for a non runner is about the same you could buy a similar running car for...My D3 Build Thread
