Clutch Pedal

On my Manual 2.7 D3 I have noticed that the clutch pedal had started to not return properly between gear changes and now selecting first and second is very awkward and it won't go into reverse. Going up the gears is not a problem its more coming back down them. Have also noticed that the clutch pedal is dropping a bit overnight. Was going to bleed the brake fluid so wondered if that was not helping but thinking there must be a leak or something in the system as well so is what's the best way to check out the it may be leaking?

Not leaking to atmosphere but leaking internally, symptoms of clutch master cylinder seal worn.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks, now the next question would be how easy is it to check and how easy to change the seal??

Easiest to fit a new master cylinder. Have you tried pressing the clutch twice when selecting a gear to see if it improves?

Double pumping the clutch sorted it at first but doesn’t make a difference now hitting reverse and is less effective now when going down the gears
