Could be your battery charge is low and so the car stays in low power mode until it's built up some charge, screen doesn't work in low power mode, only essentials do. Next time, try gently raising the revs to just over 2k for a couple of seconds rather than idling and see it it kicks it - that's what happened with my D4 anyways.
In my case caused by too many short journeys in the winter not giving the battery chance to recoup the cranking charge - apparently it takes about 9 miles driving to recover from one engine start-up.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
very possibal the case. I should have tried turning up the stereo as this will indicate if it is in low power mode. I did just move it out of the drive the night before and it had been sat there for 3 days.
