"24 Service" 11k miles and 57 plate new July 2007 |
|
Hi,
Indication on dash is a clock 24 and service.
Not had chance to look at the manual yet.
I was expecting first service at 12months, or 15,000 miles.
Does this mean the car was first built in March/April timeframe rather than the July delivery date.....
Any ideas?
Do I need to have the service now or at 15k miles or at 12months from when I got the car as new?
Many thanks
John

15K or 12 months from when the mileage and service indicaters were zero'd at the PDI. i.e should be just before delivery. "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

The '24' means number of days til service doesn't it?
(not sure as I've never had a service due to time rather than mileage)
but surely 57 plate is Sept 07? , so I presume the July date is the build date Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

Yes counts down from 30 days IIRC, I've had the daily count down for the last 2 services now. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

Hi again,
Sorry it is a 07 plate car from July last year.
Just spoken to the suppliying dealer and they say that the service indication is due to oil quality that is monitored by the car.....
Anyone else heard of this, rather than the 12m/15k intervals?
Also what is the current price for the first service out there in LR land?
Many thanks
