puddle lights help
Hi everyone
I have recently brought a 62 plate commercial discovery 4. It didnt have puddle lights and I was keen to get them. I read up and people on the internet were saying that the wire is in the door card and it is a simple plug and play. So I took the plunge and purchased some logo projector puddle lights. I took the plastic cap off out on the bottom of the door cards and the plug is there for the lights. I plugged them in but they dont light up.
are they fused or do I need to switch them on somehow in the car computer? I have tested the lights and they they do work.
Thanks in advance for any help
Grant

Just tested the cables getting nothing to them. Is there another plug in the loom?

I fitted puddle lights to my 05 D3. I had power to the wires in the door ok. Maybe they changed the body loom on the later models but kept the standard door loom? Do you have foot well lights or the wiring for them?Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Have you by any chance left the door open for a long time before installing the puddle light? The puddle lights are connected to the interior light circuit and this shuts down eventually - to save bttery I suppose.
Might be worth locking and unlocking vehicle again to see if they work?

Hi I know it’s been a while now but just seen this I have disco 4 and same as you mine didn’t come with four puddle lights and no power to the wiring
But you manage to solve the issue as would love to know
(If I plug the puddle lights in to the rear interior light it works )
