I've ordered a spare FBH I'm going to give a REALLY good clean and service before installing.
Got new sensors, new seals, new screws everything for it, except the burner.
I have a heated ultrasonic cleaner and carb cleaning fluid for it - I'm going to use this for the heat exchanger, but can I remove the glowplug, gaskets etc and run the burner unit through too?
As far as I can see there's nothing in there that should be damaged from this, just looks like all metal?
Thanks!

Almost every post about FBH malfunctioning here on this forum is about cleaning...
Polution is never the cause of malfunctioning on a TT-V or EVO.... it is the otherway arround the cause is poluding the FBH
One exeption: if it runs for only less than 10 minutes quite often.... (going to the corner or fuel station down the road for cigarettes etc..)
Burner nozzle and glowplug system are the main reasons for malfunctioning aside, fuelpump, air in the fuel line, dirty cloaked noise damper (looks like an airfilter but it isn’t) or ecu (seldom)
Open it up and Cleaning it, just to use your fluid and apparatus, will cause more damage than it will solve issues.. so beware why and what you are doing.. Best regards
Harold

Done lots of these, 99.9 percent of the time it is the glow plug and gauze/mesh/felt stuff that is at fault, never cleaned one out.

Thanks guys, helpful stuff.
I'll be careful when I take it apart, already done that 3 or 4 times now .
As for the burner unit... is it worth me just buying a new one to get a new plug or stick with mine as it works for the minute?
There's no gauze in mine that I've found... although I have seen it for sale on advanced factors I didn't know where it went.
I just want to do a good job of it so the bloody thing can stay in next time getting tired of playing with it.
My coolant sensor needs replacing so I'm stripping it down anyway.
