Tailgate micro switch assembly

Just went to fit a new switch part no lr073594 / lro15457 on 08 disco 3 and the plug on the switch loom is too fat, has anybody got the correct part number please.

Its not a seperate part on the Discovery - you have to splice it into the old wire.

If you havent bought one yet the Ford part is a lot cheaper than the FL or RRS version that others have used.

I used the heat shrink waterproof connectors and it will probably survive longer than the replacement switch!

If you cut the old one off at the back of the dead switch there is enough wire to do it in situ

Good luck Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Not a great design on the switch so might be an idea to apply some silicone to seal it all up nicely before refitting as the cable area can let water into the switch and its a perfect recipe for corrosion.
