It looks great but the dark grey trim doesnt match the "Zermatt Silver' of the car, so I was looking to spray paint this myself. Anyone else done this? Is it easy? Recommended procedure, paint brands?
Any tips welcome otw ill just grab some spray paint from Ebay and🙏

Good morning,
Painting plastic is about the prep and using an adhesion promoter.
Followed this channel for a while - he is very good.

spray paint will not last. I would sandpaper the part which needs to be painted. Use grey filler / base paint followed by the final color. and put a final touch of clear coat on top.
I am sure a body shop in your area can help.Achim

With any plastic type surface, after preparation the next important issue is you must use flexible primer, which should be of uniform thickness.
As the grille will get a severe life due to it's position on the car, my advice is to get it done by a professional.

If you wish to match the zermatt silver, then you'll need to use matched spray paint. If, however, you're looking for some sort of contrast then I'd strongly recommend you consider plastidip over spray paint. It doesn't require any special prep and lasts extremely well. That said, I've just sprayed the silver strip of my landmark grille with hammerite-type plastic paint; a few months and turns through the car wash and it seems to be holding up very well.PAGODA

I used plastic primer and my local paint company made me a spray can of top coat and clear coat that had an additive to make it flexible. lasted 6 months so far with no issues
