Thefts of D4s around south sheffield
Just a heads up to anyone around the south sheffield area (Junc 29-32 M1 area), i have now heard of at least 4 D4s being stolen around my area in the last week or so (also a couple of range rovers)
Seem to be targeting HSE models (guessing they are using the keyless method of getting in them).

Sorry to hear of this. We do seem to be blighted with these cars.
A prompter for people to get themselves a faraday key pouch, and if you have one, give it a test to ensure it is blocking the signal. Either that or turn off keyless entry.
Embarrassingly, I discovered my last key pouch had stopped working when demonstrating how good it was at blocking signals .Gary

Switch off keyless with the lights trick, if it works.

Disklock is a good deterrentNow Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.
Ex D3 and D4
Disklock certainly is a good deterrent. To the point that I'll nearly always jump in the BMW rather than faff about with the Disklock that SWMBO insisted we fitted to the D4.

They’ve started further north too. 3 scumbags caught on CCTV trying to get into a D4 in Wentworth last night. Got disturbed and legged it. Only positive thing is they were all wearing masks.2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

I'm in Rotherham, Stag area, they had my headlights and grill a few weeks ago. They were in a dark coloured estate car fitted with a tow bar, possibly an older BMW 3 series.

lost my spare wheel and they had a go at my lights in Chesterfield train station. Clowne Tesco is one to watch as well, on two occasions came back to my old D4 with blokes acting suspicious around it. Also had an attempted trailer theft there too!
Thats why I swapped to a D5 nobody wants to nick them MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I know LKC well, not bought from them but used to drive past them loads in the bygone days of commuting to an office. They have some nice stock there and yet its D4 bolt on bits the scum nick.
Thankfully my D4 is parked out of sight of any passers by and is hiding (as much as possibly) behind a lovely 88'' Series 2 so that might be hit before mine 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten
