Discovery 4 versatility
My youngest has bought a defender 90. Took his wheels to have new all terrain tyres fitted today. On the return journey i had 5 wheels and tyres and 4 mud terrain tyres in the back of my Disco and still had spare space.
I love the versatility of these.2010 HSE

Kind of wants me to list the sort of things I've had in mine.
They include dogs (obviously) dead game birds, live game birds, a weeks shopping, a chest of drawers, doors, half a ton of wheat, an American fridge, a concrete mixer, seven children on a school run, enough full bin bags to fill a council wagon (slight exaggeration there), a big shop (obviously) and a bed are what immediately I recall.
Anybody have any strange payloads?

We got a full 3 seater 1950’s wide settee in the back, and the tailgate still closed. I genuinely don’t think there is any other car currently available that could do this?
If it wasn’t for the vertical back, it would have been a problem.
It certainly will be a problem for us going forward, because we are swapping it for a new Defender, and it certainly would not have fitted in it.

All you need there is some popcorn and a flat panel tv in the rear right window. Movie night a la D3/4.
