| To adjust 'Only Normal Height Available' change compressor? |
|
Dear Family,
My 16 Disco 4 has 'Only Normal Height Available' waning light (each time after I adjust the height of the SUV). Other than the warning light, It is all fine (Function as narmal).
I got dealer report today. The air compressor is weak. Need a replacment.

can it be done by service the pump?
Aslo, there are Hitachi and AMK compressor. The price is lot cheaper at ebay:

Lots information and how to solve it? Just found out there is a Dunlop compressor as well. OMG!

i hd similar issue although had DTCs read
and I only chenged the valve and dryer beeds
compressor remains the same still fault never came back

ah while doing ti make sure the air system mufler pipe isnt blocked as well as it might cause the symptoms and check the air firlter behind passenger rear quarter

Note. Btw, which kit Didi you buy? The £58 complete kit-Amk Air Dryer Master Filtration Kit including Exhaust electrical solenoid related to Land Rover C1A13 & C1A20 trouble codes?

The “LR Dealer” gave you a report that the air pump was weak?? What the &$#@!. What DTCs were read that came to that conclusion?
The pumps last a good long time, should they be maintained properly.
The air ingress via the pump is filtered and dried prior to entering the system, as others have pointed out.
Also, there is an air suspension maintenance schedule that should be followed.
Cleaning the filter and changing the desiccant is part of that schedule. 2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green

Seems to be the case. You would think that a reputable vehicle manufacturing company would want a reputable dealership network ensuring customer satisfaction through successes, not gouging.
Truly, I am very happy with the Dealer and the Inde that I frequent. I have a very positive relationship with the Owner, Parts, Service and Techs. But some of the stories I hear of other dealerships in some forums throw me aback. 2015 LR4 HSE Lux Aintree Green

franchised dealerships are all about milking the customers not resolving their cars issues
dealers around my area are so bad I would not go close by miles

Yes, health report said: Compressor fault- compressor weak and quated 1203.20 pounds to replace it.
That is why I asked in the forum. It is bloody expansive!
I owned two Disco 4. They never serive compressor.

As an aside, anybody know what the current hourly chargeable rates are at JLR main dealers?
I've heard around £200 ($260) per hour!
No idea if this correct, or just a folk tale. I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!
