Remote
I have just purchased a Disco 4 with timed climate, how can I check if it has the remote option or not?
Thanks

Take a look in the rear drivers side panel (where the jack is) and look for the remote receiver unit if it’s there it’s obvious, if not you will need that a remote and an aerialMust stop buying shiny toys....

Thank you. Removed the jack and couldn't see anything obvious, but it is dark. So took a picture towards the front of the car. Could this be it?

Bingo - you are a lucky man - that's it
Looks like you just need a remote and to pair it
Get the right remote though as there are lots that look the same dish and most advertised on eBay for D4s aren't the right ones!Must stop buying shiny toys....

The remote you need is LR027493
Once you have it you simply remove the fuse (in main fuse box under bonnet) plug it back in and pair within a few secondsMust stop buying shiny toys....

I just went outside to look after being hopeful I might have a similar discovery....
..all I found was a blue rag shoved up between plastic inner storage compartment and the metal.
It might have well had a label on it saying "pull me" because I did (and I know I should have left it) and when it came out the plastic side trim wobbles like it is going to come off! Obviously some PO bodge .
I wouldn't have minded if I had the same luck as you and found the receiver In today's world, if you contribute something, you don't contribute enough. If you contribute nothing, you receive everything.

Joys of ownership I think it is called.
On the plus side this might be the source of the rattling that drives me nuts at town speeds. Every cloud and all that.
