What FBH fob have you got?

In all the photos I see on here for the FBH either for sale or retrofit, the remote fob's all look like the one on the right.

Is anyone using the type on the left with the 'fan and air rising' symbol rather than 'ON' and if so, what is your receiver - T91R or lower?

The one on the left is cheaper and aparently works with the T91R but it appears the one on the right works with everything from T90/T91/T91R and is a lot more expensive.

Thanks!

It's the one on the right you need.

As mentioned here the one on the left doesn't do the job

https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post2122476.html#2122476

- if you wanted to try and save a few quid, the VW version of the one on the right is less than half the price and I was told has been used successfully - just has a VW badge on it.

Yes I read that with a lot of others. It's more of does the one on the left work only with the later T91R receiver and not the other earlier ones.
The one on the right works with all three receivers and the one on the left apparently none.
Just wanted to establish if when tested by others what receiver they had.

Sounds to me like the handshake between the fob and receiver is crippled but if the T91R receiver and fob are supposed to be a pair why doesn't it work. Do they pair and just not switch on the heater or not pair at all, as that would be different.

Found this from a few years ago. Has been done with a T91R and the left receiver. Not working.

I will give up then. No point even snooping the RF to see what is different as can't change it.

Thanks for taking the time Smile

In my "ideal world" I would like to sniff the RF and re transmit it from my Domoticz (home automation) - decode & transmit with one of these - https://greatscottgadgets.com/yardstickone/
Then I could just say "Alexa, turn on car heater" - now that would be cool Smile

Job for another day!
