November camping in field, with fuel burn heater
So things have been a bit at the moment, but finaly have a week off work, so decided to camp in the field.
Managed to purchase a diesel FBH from eBay for £97, standalone version. Comes with temote and was easy to wire up
I used the connectors from an old Ctec extension, first wired up to leisure batteries

Made sure i had enough cable, for positioning outside of awning. And made sure i have a monoxide alarm set-up

Here it is in position

Exhaust is 2ft long and outside, but have ordered 3m extension to run it fully away from tent
Finally here's a video of it working
Planning on three nights camping, tank is 3/4 full, so will monitor usageIggy/Ieuan

Tidy.
I saw this recently and want to try it. Again I think a CO monitor is essential.

IN a Van or cabin, if you want to sleep in it, stay away from those cheap chinese heaters..
Tip:
Is some one is interested only in heating the back of your motor (van or disco / defender commercial, etc) during driving or shortly after driving... we use to use these apparatus! Just attach it in the engine cooling system and 12v for the fan...
Site is just an example, i have no connection to the,. maybe you can buy them in other country’s also, although germany is generally cheaper on these quality stuff because the extensive use there..Best regards
Harold

I may be Don Quichot, regarding this.... so last time in this topic... (i am not talking about the type of use like the TO does, he seems carefull!)
What you see for sale cheap, advertised as night heaters for van, lorry’s etc. is NOT certified in any way....
If there is an e mark, they are fake... not backed up by a real UK (or EU) certification...(or proof me otherwise)
There is no control on quality from any official agency or what so ever... if leaky (the unit itself) and placed IN your van, lorry or camper, it is a one way ticket.....
So have a good life insurance, so your wife and children get some more money than you saved on a bargain for a cheap chinese “night” heater....
Sorry, i see no way to bring this more nicely..... meant well although...Best regards
Harold
