Turbo
Hi all. Having had Derek running with engine fault which is also giving big black cloud out the exhaust I decided to replace all three hoses.
However I simply cannot find the really short one any ideas? I have replaced the two longer ones alas no difference to the fault and I honestly can’t see it being this one do any ideas around that gratefully received.

Hiya
It’s tucked down by the turbo , also plse check the jubilee clip is tight thats on the turbo , if u see any oil around there it’s normally an indication one of the hose clips may be loose
Hope that helps

This is the clip I mean , second pic is the t bolt clamps
Also sizes of the clamps , sometimes u can can’t get the T bolt clamps on because the intercooler has oval shaped outlets

Thanks gstuart. I am very grateful ans I am sure once back under it will make sense. Obviously all my clips are tight and had to use original clips on the intercooler as by t clips were too small. I’m hope it will cure it 🤞🏼

Hiya
ur very welcome , indeed know what u mean ref clips on the intercooler , I bought T bolt clamps and then realised they wouldn’t fit because of them being oval , ooops
I had a P132 error and was going into limp mode, alas didn’t have black smoke , was so lucky with the broken clip by the turbo, jubilee clip was again used there
In the end I bought some stainless steel genuine jubilee clips as I got some others and were useless , just what u need when working in such a tight spot
Fingers crossed is a simple fix, everywhere else the T bolt clamps worked very well
Hope I’m not trying to teach u how to suck eggs but I also found my Map sensor was full of crud , technical term of course
Plse let us know how u get on

I assume you have to remove heat shields etc to see the pipe? As when I looked earlier I could see no sign

Hiya
Indeed, can be awkward getting them out, think the nuts were 8 or 10mm , found some pics for u , Plse if I may add and again not wishing to teach u how to suck eggs , put suspension into off road height , then pull fuse F 26 from the engine bay of disconnect battery , then jack up, remove wheel and fit some axle stands , will then at least give u a better amount of access
Hope that helps

Well I tried and failed ☹️. The small pipe remains in situ I just can’t get it free and to make it worse one of the clamps is not accessible with screwdriver as it’s facing away. Oh and even worse my spade like hands simply won’t fit in to the aperture 😔
