No terrain response and airbag light on

Have been using the GGS setting all week in Alps no trouble. On way home today accelerating up as finally got onto clearish road, got to maybe 60, suddenly get "Terrain response special programs not available", and airbag warning light on. Have stopped and started several times on way home but has stayed that way. Wife going back to Switzerland in 10 days, so need to get TR back on. Any ideas?

update

Fault reader could not connect to Terrain Response Module, and showed a grounding fault on the airbag. Turns out fuse 21 was blown. Have replaced and now got fingers crossed.

Fuse 21

Long time Land Rover owner: 1967 Series-2 2l petrol, 1984 Range Rover Vogue 3.5 V8, 1993 Discovery 1 200 7 seater, 1998 Discovery 1.5 300, 2003 Discovery D2 TD5 7 seater, 2010 Discovery D4 3.0l 7 seater.

Hi, I've just signed on here to relay the recent experience I've had with fuse 21 blowing. All was well with my 2010MY GS D4 until it went in to the dealers for the 112k mile service. A number of things went wrong (another story) but specifically the fuse 21 blew immediately after the service had been completed - so no special programmes available and the air bag light on. This turned out to be an intermittent fault for a number of weeks / miles until a dead short eventually became permanent - so fuse always blew immediately the ignition was turned on . It transpired that one of the wires in the wiring loom in the rear nearside area of the boot where the ball hitch is stored had been rubbed through on a body panel edge causing the short circuit. I have posted this item just in case anyone else has an ongoing similar problem and is still looking for the cause. Also, any feedback from other forum members on how this might have occurred would be gratefully received as I have not yet found a plausible explanation as to why it should suddenly occur when nothing inside the car has been disturbed. The removable ball hitch has not been stowed. Many thanks.

This is really interesting, thank you. We took our 2010 Discovery D4 3.0l into our 4x4 garage for a service and MOT with this fault showing. With Airbag light on it would have failed its MOT so it had to be fixed. They had never seen it before so assumed that it was a module fault and replaced it (££!) then found it didn't help. Eventually they spotted Fuse 21 had gone. Replaced it and all was good. In fairness to them they did come to an arrangement on the cost!

Two months down the line and the fuse has just blown again today. Same symptoms of All Terrain and Airbag warning on.

Did you replace the wiring loom or just re-insulate it. Presumably the fuse hasn't blown again since? Was the wear location obvious? Thank you.

Apologies for the delayed response. I guess you have sorted it by now but to answer your question: the wiring loom was repaired by the dealers using the Land Rover original wiring loom repair parts and process. Not had any issues since Very Happy
