They are same pcd, however centre bore are small on the Vw I think that’s the right way round?
Had D3 17” wheels on the T5.1 tipper we had. This was sold during lockdown as offer to buy was too good to refuse.
They had a 10mm spacer with centre spigot adaptor. Also needs different wheel bolts.
They improved its ride and appearance from the steel 16” wheels previously used.Discovery commercial tdv6 auto 2013

I had D4 alloys on my VW Amarok, just required a bolt and hubcentric spacer kit to make them fit (£60)! Looked great too, and were about 1/3rd the price of VW 19" alloys at the time!2014 D4 XS

VW wheels arent weight rated high enough for the Disco (640Kg if I recall), where as D3 alloys are 940kg, and RRS alloys at 900kg. so even if VW wheels did fit you run the risk of an alloy failure (yes rare I know). Not sure what your insuance would make of it either.

I got these in a job lot of wheels I bought, LR copies but for VW vans.
The load rating is 2,300lbs (1,043kgs) and an offset of 45.
These fit the T5/6 VWs without the need for spacers.
21" wheels on these vans result in the same damage that 22"s do on Range Rovers with the lack of sufficient sidewall, cracking. 2 of the 4 needed repairing, hence why I then had to have them painted.

^^ the 45 is the offset - D3 and D4 used 53 as offset
45 just means the wheel is slightly further out in the arch

Many thks, indeed know what u mean ref some remarks made when buying items via ebay , if there true or not , just never seen VW mentioned before
To be honest have been wondering about getting another set of rims for winter , but would only buy 18/19 , personally not keen on anything larger than that
Ah see what u mean ref offset and centre bore, plus the load rating , just wished to of course double check with the more knowledgeable members here as I had thought that it may open up more options when it came to getting some rims
Do like some of the FFRR rims , also wondered because I do low miles if after getting some winter tyres about leaving them on there all year round , have been slowly trawling though the tyre threads , ref pros and cons
