Daft question but does the battery cable between the alternator and starter pass above the engine mounting or pass below the mounting .
it is so long since I took the starter out and pushed the cable well away that I cannot remember its positioning.

Honestly, I don't remember.
What is the easiest route for the wiring ??? D3 TDV6 for holidays use,
D3 TDV6 (for sale)
RR L322 3.6 TDV8 : to be fixed (cylinder head gasket blown)
Series 3 pickup : to be fixed (chassis corroded)
