| Wynn’s Diesel EGR Extreme Cleaner |

Hi
Has anyone used this?
I posted a couple of days ago about an amber engine warning light and loss of power. Warning light went off but has now returned. I’m on holiday and we’re renting a house that has a steep drive up to the main road and the car really struggled in 1st gear this morning with black smoke coming out the back. The smoked cleared but car was struggling a bit in 2nd and 3rd gear.
I bought a can of Wynn’s EGR cleaner and I could use it before our return trip tomorrow- stopping at our in laws in Yorkshire.

TBH, at least in my experience.... Wynn’s is a seller of illusions...
Forte may be better, BUT..... if a motor is not drivable, do not drive it... (only to a workshop)
since we do not know where you are in scotland... we can not advice you were to go..
but going to a LR indie, or any indy (or even a LR dealership) , can save you money in the end...
maybe a EGR blanking (old method with coins) wil bring you save home. software patch or new EGR or cleaned EGR can be done later..
just blanking them is less then an hour work....
stress and maybe worse on an engine on a long trip should be worth more than that hour .. in my opion... Best regards

Hi
On Isle of Skye at the moment. Driving to York tomorrow. Car is booked in at LR garage as soon as we get back but could look at somewhere in York to get it done as we're there for a few days.

I’ve had good results with other Wynn’s products.
So use it.
If you struggle with the drive way, put it in low range

Inter cooler pipe split, check the large pipe going across the top of the engine, tape it up with broad HD tape to get you home It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Check the large intercooler hose as said above. Check it all around its circumference especially near any clips. Squeeze and you may see a split. Gorilla Tape or similar as a field repair.
